Happy New Year! Have You Made Your Goals Yet?

Happy New Year Everyone!
I am very excited for this new year.  I have so many goals and plans, and I can not wait to get started.  I know many people make resolutions.  I prefer to call them goals.  For some reason, that seems to make me more accountable when trying to attain them.  I like to make a list each year and see how many I can get done.  I have some lofty goals this year, but I’m so excited about them.  This last year was a bit crazy.  Our oldest son started school, we had a new baby, and we packed and moved to our new little homestead.  This year I want to focus on getting organized, fixing up our little home, and raise our children to the best of our ability.

I also want to get my homemaking binder in order.  I have so many forms printed out, lists made, and I even have a binder to put it all in.  I just have not taken the time necessary to put it all together.  I believe that when I do that, my home is going to run much more smoothly.  I can’t wait to get this project going.
Here is my list of top ten goals I want to work to achieve this year:
Homekeeping Goals-
1.  Plan and execute a large garden.  Include a place for composting.
2.  Organize and put together my Homekeeping Binder.
3.  Finish unpacking, painting, and decorating our home (I am hoping to get this done pretty quickly!)
Mothering/Marriage Goals-
4.  Plan and go on at least one date night out a month, and plan weekly date nights at home.
5.  Potty train Andrew
6.  Put together lessons to do with the children at home.
7.  Plan monthly field trips for the children.
Kitchen/Cooking Goals-
8.  Make monthly menu plans for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
9.  Learn how to can fruits and vegetables.
10.  Create a freezer inventory and maintain it.

So there are some of my goals for 2013.  I have many more, but these are the most important to me at the moment.  What are some of your goals for the new year?
