Our Menu Plan This Week

Whew, our weekend was jammed packed!  We celebrated my son's sixth birthday with a big party with our extended family.  It was a lot of fun, but so hectic.  Then we had nursery care at church on Sunday, so we had to get there a bit earlier than we normally do.  I don't know why that extra hour makes a difference on Sunday mornings, but they really do!  We made it and had a great time with the sweet little children that we watched.

This week is our annual fair.  It is a free fair and a REALLY big deal here.  Our little town is packed full of people from all over--many come from other cities and states for the free entertainment alone.  There are usually pretty big name country singers that come to entertain.  Since there's no admission, you can imagine how many people show up.  It is a lot of fun--I've been going since I was a child.  So I imagine we will have a few "fair days" in our plans this week.

Again, my husband is on a bit of a wacky schedule this week, meaning he won't be home for dinner for a couple nights this week.  That means simple, easy meals for the rest of us.

Here's what we will be eating this week:

Breakfasts:

Cereal, bananas
Oatmeal with blueberries and cinnamon
Blueberry muffins
Peanut butter toast, bananas
Super Power Smoothie

Lunches:

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, grapes
English muffin pizza, veggie dippers, blueberry applesauce
Cheese quesodillias, apple slices
Leftovers

Snacks:

Homemade cookies
Brown bag popcorn
Cheese crackers

Dinners:

Red beans and rice, sausage, sweet cornbread
Pizza pockets, veggie dippers
Tuna salad, homemade rolls, veggie dippers
Homemade chicken tenders, oven fries
Leftovers
Pizza night- Make your own pizza on soft and chewy pizza crust
