This Week's Menu Plan

We are expecting some of our coldest weather of the winter this week.  For our area, that means lows in the upper teens to mid-20's with a windchill factor of about 15 degrees.  I know for some of you that seems like a cake walk-- but for us here in the deep south, it's quite nippy!

So for that reason, much of our menu this week is going to consist of soups, stews, and rib-sticking comfort meals.  This is truly my favorite way to cook.  I love making recipes that can simmer all day long, tasting better and better the longer it cooks.

This is also the time of year I utilize my crock pot the most.  The crock pot and bread machine have quickly become my two BFF's in the kitchen.  Truly, they save me so much time.
